Welcome to the home page of Umuna Town Development Union. Umuna Town is located in Orlu local area of Imo state Nigeria.Umuna is surrounded by her sister towns, Amaifeke, Orlu town, Eziachi town, and Owerri Ebeiri. Umuna is proud of it's heritage and it's location at the strategic junction on the federal roads leading to Enugu, Onitsha, Okigwe, and Owerri the Imo State capital.


Umuna is the second largest metropolitan area after in Imo state after Owerri and is host to many public and private establishments. Among the major institutions located in Umuna Town are the Imo state university teaching hospital, the Orlu local government head quarters and the international market.
 
The first branch of  the Umuna Town Development Union in North America was formed 16 years ago in Southern California, today various branches exist in places like Canada, Texas, New England, Illinois and the DC/Maryland  area. The UTDU held it's first national convention ever outside Nigeria on September 1st and 2nd hosted by the Southern California in Los Angeles California.

I wish to use this opportunity to congratulate Umuna Town Development of North America (UTDNA) on another successful year as a nonprofit organization. We responded to all the enquiries by the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and California Franchise Tax Board correctly and on time.  The IRS and California Franchise Tax Board are requiring more documentations and more forms to be filled out by every nonprofit organization. I received another one of the documentation forms yesterday.
We should not relent in our efforts to utilize the benefits of a nonprofit status because as we continue down the road, we will reap great benefits from being a nonprofit organization.  Please click to read the rest of the message...
